About John Lack

Relationships are the thread through my work.

I support individuals and couples who want to understand recurring patterns, relate with more honesty and move through change with greater clarity and care.

Why I do this work

I became interested in relationships through my own experience.

My work grew out of a long personal exploration of how we relate to ourselves and to other people. I became increasingly interested in what happens when we understand ourselves intellectually, yet still find familiar patterns returning in relationships, conflict or moments of change.

Over time, that question led me into systemic coaching, nonviolent communication, embodiment, trauma-informed work and NARM®.

What stayed with me across all of these approaches was simple: people often do not need to be corrected. They need enough safety, curiosity and clarity to understand what is happening and discover what feels true for them.

What working with me may feel like

Clear, spacious and curious.

I aim to offer a way of working that is warm without becoming vague, and focused without forcing a process.

01

You set the direction

Your intention matters more than my idea of what your life or relationship should look like.

02

We stay curious

Recurring patterns are explored as intelligent adaptations rather than problems that need to be eliminated.

03

We work with what is present

Rather than analysing everything from a distance, we pay attention to what is happening now and what becomes possible from there.

A little beyond the work

I value aliveness outside the coaching room too.

Music, movement, travel, friendship and writing are important parts of my life. They keep reminding me that personal development is not only about understanding ourselves — it is also about being able to participate more fully in life.

That perspective is part of what I bring into my work: less interest in becoming a “better version” of yourself, and more interest in what allows you to feel more connected, honest and alive.
